exercises

These days I am training at drawing without outlining. Or at least without using the pencil as I always did. Pencil outlining has always been my Linus' blanket: it helps avoiding mistakes and is easy to be erased, at the expense of spontaneity. I think it's time to leave fear behind and take one step forward. Of course I won't never leave my strong point, but I want to try to find a compromise. For drawing this sulky girl, I used only coloured pencils. No graphites and no eraser. I can't remember the last time I did the same. And you know what? It took at least half the time :)
